Job summary

Certitude is seeking a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our specialist support team. You will design, implement and embed PBS interventions with a person-centred approach to improve quality of life for individuals with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs.

You will deliver assessments, analysis, and PBS strategies, providing training to peers and collaborating with families and professionals to ensure consistent, compassionate support across a hybrid working model.

Qualifications

• Hold a formal qualification in Positive Behaviour Support or related discipline.
• Experience designing and embedding person centred assessment and intervention in line with PBS approaches.
• Proven experience conducting functional behaviour assessments and implementing PBS strategies.
• Competence in data analysis to inform behaviour support planning and monitor quality-of-life outcomes.
• Ability to build and maintain respectful, trust-based relationships with individuals and families.

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional behaviour assessments and analyse data to develop PBS strategies.
• Support individuals at risk of exclusion or hospital admission through tailored support.
• Ensure assessments reflect risks and needs and are person centred.
• Help deliver systems that monitor progress and outcomes.
• Deliver training and coaching to build PBS capacity within a team.
• Work in partnership with individuals, families and professionals.
