Job summary

Artis Recruitment in North Bristol is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join a friendly, collaborative team. You will ensure UK and overseas colleagues are paid accurately and on time, while helping to continually improve payroll processes.

This role offers a flexible hybrid working approach, autonomy in day-to-day payroll work, and the chance to influence how payroll is run behind the scenes.

Responsibilities

• Running accurate and timely monthly payroll from start to finish.
• Managing payroll changes including starters, leavers, promotions, bonuses, deductions and statutory payments.
• Preparing and checking payroll reports, reconciliations and payments.
• Ensuring PAYE, National Insurance, pensions and other statutory requirements are handled correctly.
• Responding to payroll queries with professionalism, clarity and a genuinely helpful approach.
• Working closely with HR, Finance and other teams to keep employee information accurate and up to date.
• Supporting year-end activities, including P11Ds and P60s.
• Keeping up to date with payroll legislation and identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems and controls.
