Job summary

Artis Recruitment is recruiting a Payroll Specialist for a North Bristol-based role with a flexible hybrid working approach. You will be responsible for ensuring UK and overseas colleagues are paid accurately and on time while helping to continually improve payroll processes behind the scenes.

The role involves end-to-end monthly payroll, handling changes (starters, leavers, promotions, bonuses, deductions), payroll reporting, and ensuring compliance with PAYE, NI, pensions, and other statutory

Responsibilities

• Running accurate and timely monthly payroll from start to finish.
• Managing payroll changes including starters, leavers, promotions, bonuses, deductions and statutory payments.
• Preparing and checking payroll reports, reconciliations and payments.
• Ensuring PAYE, National Insurance, pensions and other statutory requirements are handled correctly.
• Responding to payroll queries with professionalism, clarity and a genuinely helpful approach.
• Working closely with HR, Finance and other teams to keep employee information accurate and up to date.
• Supporting year-end activities, including P11Ds and P60s.
• Keeping up to date with payroll legislation and identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems and controls.
