Job description

Our client, one of the world's largest independent financial services firms, is looking for an established Payroll Specialist to join their team.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Collate the monthly payroll data and provide it to the payroll vendor via a secure online portal.
  • Review and reconcile the output, work with the payroll vendor to correct as necessary, and provide the appropriate reports for review and sign-off by the Payroll Manager.
  • Ensure that all relevant deadlines are met and that the payments are reconciled and made on time.
  • Work with the wider Payroll team and other internal/external stakeholders to streamline processes.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of UK payroll experience.
  • Must have previously worked within a fast-paced team environment.
  • Must have a good working knowledge of statutory payroll legislation and payroll calculations in the UK.
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (Vlookup, Pivot tables).
  • Track record of developing positive relationships with outsourced payroll vendors.
  • Excellent attention to detail and numeracy skills.
