Job summary

Search Consultancy LTD is recruiting a Payroll Senior for Grangemouth. You will manage a varied portfolio of client payrolls, processing weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly and monthly cycles, ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery.

The role covers statutory payments, pensions, RTI submissions and year-end activities, with strong emphasis on compliance and client liaison. Benefits include private medical cover, 31 days leave, and a flexible Friday option.

Qualifications

• Strong payroll experience essential within a practice or bureau setting.
• Experience handling multiple payroll cycles (weekly, fortnightly, monthly).
• Solid knowledge of statutory payments, pensions, RTI and HMRC requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in payroll processing.
• Proficient MS Excel and general IT skills.
• Clear communication with clients and external bodies.
• Willingness to embrace new payroll technology and automation.
• Collaborative mindset to support the wider payroll team.
• Self-driven with a continuous improvement approach.

Responsibilities

• Process and manage a varied portfolio of client payrolls.
• Ensure on-time delivery and compliance with current legislation.
• Handle statutory payments, auto-enrolment and RTI submissions.
• Assist with year-end payroll processes and reconciliations.
• Liaise with clients, HMRC and pension providers to resolve queries.
• Identify improvements to processes and controls.
