Job summary

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions is recruiting a Payroll Officer to join a busy organisation in West Yorkshire. You will manage end-to-end payroll processing, support HR administration, and respond to payroll queries in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires accuracy, proactive approach, and strong organisational skills, with opportunities to develop payroll and HR experience in an office-based setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' payroll processing experience.
• Previous experience supporting weekly payroll processes would be advantageous.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Proficient IT skills, including spreadsheet usage.
• Experience with Sage payroll systems would be advantageous.
• Previous HR administration experience is desirable.
• Multilingual skills would be beneficial.
• Positive, proactive, and team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to payroll and HR-related queries.
• Collate and process employee working hours.
• Complete end-to-end weekly payroll processing.
• Process SSP, SMP, SPP, holiday pay, expenses, pensions, deductions and P45s.
• Set up new starters on payroll systems.
• Maintain accurate payroll and employee records.
• Upload and process employee expenses.
• Liaise with employees and resolve payroll-related queries.
• Support onboarding activities, including staff inductions and employment contracts.
• Assist with visa applications where required.
• Maintain and update company spreadsheets and databases.
• Provide wider HR administrative support.
• Ensure confidentiality is maintained when handling employee information.
