Qualifications

• Experience of processing payrolls across weekly, fortnightly and monthly cycles.
• Knowledge of RTI submissions, EPS and pension contributions.
• Experience handling statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP) and payroll adjustments.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls accurately within deadlines.
• Prepare and submit RTI submissions, EPS, and pension contributions.
• Handle statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP), holiday pay, adjustments, and payroll corrections.
• Maintain accurate employee records: starters, leavers and amendments.
• Respond to client queries promptly and professionally.
• Liaise with Client Managers for clarification or fee discussions.
• Maintain confidentiality and high client-care standards.
• Assist with workload organisation and team support during peak times.
• Provide holiday/emergency cover when needed.
• Support onboarding of new payroll clients and system setup.
• Ensure compliance with HMRC, pension providers and internal governance.
• Keep up to date with payroll legislation, software updates and procedures.
