Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Payroll Clerk, Payroll Administrator or in a similar role.
• A good understanding of payroll processes and procedures.
• Confident using payroll systems and Excel.
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Someone who can handle confidential information professionally.
• A team player who enjoys working in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Processing weekly and monthly payroll.
• Calculating wages, overtime, bonuses and deductions.
• Maintaining accurate employee payroll records.
• Processing starters, leavers and changes to employee details.
• Dealing with payroll queries from employees.
• Checking timesheets and ensuring payroll information is correct.
• Processing statutory payments, including SSP and SMP.
• Supporting with PAYE, National Insurance and pension contributions.
• Helping with payroll reporting and month-end processes.
