Job summary

We are recruiting a Payroll Administrator to join a growing team and deliver accurate, timely payroll services to clients from Goole, UK. You will support end-to-end payroll processing and respond to client queries in a deadline-driven environment.

The role requires at least 1 year of payroll experience, solid knowledge of payroll processes and Auto Enrolment, and strong numerical, analytical, and communication skills. A collaborative, team-focused approach is essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Process payrolls end-to-end from gross to net.
  • Submit HMRC payroll submissions.
  • Calculate statutory payments and statutory leave.
  • Liaise with clients and provide payroll support.
  • Respond to payroll queries and resolve them promptly.
  • Meet tight payroll deadlines consistently.
  • Prepare and send BACS transmission files.
  • Produce P45s and P60s.
  • Assist with Auto Enrolment and pension-related requirements.
  • Maintain high accuracy across payroll processes.

Job description

We’re currently recruiting for a Payroll Administrator to join a growing team and play a key role in delivering accurate and timely payroll services to clients.

This is a great opportunity for someone with at least one year of payroll experience who is looking to build on their existing knowledge within a client-focused payroll environment.

The Role

As a Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for supporting the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring payrolls are processed accurately, compliantly and within strict deadlines.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing payrolls from gross to net
  • Completing and submitting HMRC payroll submissions
  • Calculating statutory payments, including statutory leave and other payments
  • Liaising directly with clients and providing payroll support
  • Responding to and resolving payroll queries in a timely manner
  • Working to tight payroll deadlines and ensuring key deadlines are consistently met
  • Preparing and sending BACS payment transmissions
  • Preparing P45s and P60s
  • Supporting with Auto Enrolment and pension-related payroll requirements
  • Maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail across all payroll processes
About You

We’re looking for someone who has a genuine interest in payroll and is comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment.

You’ll ideally have:

  • At least 1 year’s previous payroll experience
  • Good knowledge of payroll processes and associated legislation
  • An understanding of Auto Enrolment
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Good IT and computer literacy
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills
  • The ability to manage your workload and meet tight deadlines
  • A collaborative, team-player mentality
  • A proactive approach to resolving queries and supporting clients
