Job summary

Spire Regency Hospital, Macclesfield is seeking an experienced Ward Administrator to join the ward team on a part-time, permanent basis. The role provides administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the ward for patients, visitors and staff.

15 hours per week are scheduled over seven days with shifts from 06:45–14:45, 10:00–18:00 or 11:00–19:00. Salary is £12.76 per hour with excellent benefits, including pension contributions, private medical insurance, free onsite gym and car park

Qualifications

• Previous relevant experience in an administrative support role.
• Customer facing role experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to handle multiple calls and tasks daily.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, visitors and staff with a professional, customer-focused service.
• Answer and direct telephone enquiries efficiently and courteously.
• Inform insurance companies of extended stays and discharge dates as needed.
• Keep patient notes up to date and ensure accurate filing of results and information.
• Liaise with ward staff regarding ordering and discharge planning.
