Job summary

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a part-time Customer Services Operator to join our busy Southend site. You will handle a wide range of queries and urgent calls, working within a 4-week 365/24/7 rota across varied shifts.

You will provide courteous, accurate information, support patients and visitors, and maintain high standards of service while respecting confidentiality and data protection requirements.

Qualifications

• GCSE or equivalent education required.
• NVQ Level 2/3 in Customer Services or equivalent.
• Call centre experience preferred.
• Knowledge of data protection and patient confidentiality essential.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls and provide accurate information to patients and visitors.
• Handle a varied rota including weekends and public holidays.
• Support colleagues to ensure high-quality customer care.
• Maintain confidentiality and data accuracy in all interactions.
• Lone working may occur once fully trained.
