Job summary

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a part-time Customer Services Operator to join the busy Customer Services Department. You will handle a wide range of queries and urgent calls, contributing to a courteous and efficient patient/visitor experience.

The role operates on a 4-week rota that includes weekends, unsocial hours, and public holidays, with potential site coverage as needed. The ideal candidate will have strong literacy and numeracy, excellent communication, and composure

Qualifications

• Excellent literacy and good numeric skills.
• Excellent communication and courteous service.
• Punctuality and adherence to the department code of conduct.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Packages and Patient Administration System would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality service dealing with a very varied queries and urgent/emergency calls.
• Operate as part of a 4 week 365/24/7 rota across a varied shift pattern including weekends, unsocial hours and public holidays.
• Work autonomously while being supported by the Head of Customer Services and Supervisor.
• Occasionally cover another site as required by the Trust.
