Job summary

The Long House Surgery in Edinburgh is looking for a friendly Medical Receptionist to join our patient services team as the first point of contact for patients. You will handle inquiries, appointments and general administration in a busy GP setting.

This part-time role (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays) offers full training, a supportive environment and the chance to contribute to high-quality patient care within a well-established practice.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients and visitors to the practice.
• Managing incoming telephone calls and directing patients to the appropriate clinician or service.
• Booking, amending and cancelling appointments.
• Processing repeat prescription requests.
• Maintaining accurate patient records using the Vision & Docman clinical system.
• Handling incoming correspondence and scanning documentation to patient records.
• Supporting the wider administrative team with general office duties.
