Job summary

Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Patient Safety Learning Lead for the Central Patient Safety team. The role will analyse learning from safety investigations, complaints, deaths, claims and coronial processes, identifying themes and translating them into actionable recommendations.

You will work with clinical, quality, complaints and legal colleagues to produce learning reports, bulletins and safety communications, and support PSIRF-related programmes.

Qualifications

• Essential criteria include degree level or equivalent qualification with continuing professional development in patient safety and quality improvement.
• Experience in presenting data from analysis, line management, and managing multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and interpret patient safety learning from incidents, complaints, mortality reviews, inquests and audits.
• Identify themes and improvement opportunities and disseminate organisational learning.
• Develop and produce learning reports, bulletins, safety alerts and communications.
• Support the implementation of patient safety and PSIRF-related programmes.
• Collaborate with clinical, quality, complaints and legal teams to triangulate information and inform safety priorities.
• Present complex information to governance groups and senior leaders.
• Provide leadership and line management to designated staff.

Education

Degree level or equivalent qualification plus short courses
