Job summary

Drexel University’s The Eye Institute – Oak Lane is seeking a full-time front desk / patient services representative. You will handle patient registration, insurance identification and verification, scheduling, and collecting payments, while ensuring accurate charge entries.

Daily tasks include greeting patients, obtaining and updating demographic and insurance information, answering calls about fees and appointments, and entering charges in the billing system.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Previous clerical or office experience preferred.
• Experience with medical insurance and terminology is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to handle multiple tasks calmly and accurately.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments and manage patient registrations.
• Verify and identify patient insurance and collect copayments.
• Enter charges into the billing system and process payments.
• Greet patients and collect necessary demographic information.
• Assist with other clerical tasks and coverage as needed.
