Job summary

Progressive GP Group of Practices in Patchway is seeking a Patient Co-ordinator to be the first point of contact for patients, guiding them to the right service and managing appointment requests. You will help ensure a smooth, friendly experience across the site.

No healthcare experience is required as training will be provided. The 20-hour position runs Monday PM, Wednesday AM, Thursday PM and Friday AM, offering a supportive team and clear development opportunities within the group.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).
• Experience in a customer-facing role.
• Strong communication skills.
• Commitment to delivering excellent service.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for patients contacting the practice.
• Help patients access the most appropriate healthcare service.
• Manage appointment requests and bookings.
• Provide excellent customer service over the phone and face-to-face.
• Support patients with enquiries and administrative requests.
• Create and maintain accurate patient records.
• Process correspondence and documentation.
• Work closely with GPs, nurses and other healthcare professionals.
• Ensure patients have a safe, efficient and positive experience.
