Job summary

St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Sutton is seeking a Band 5 Patient Experience Officer to drive patient and carer involvement across FFT and Armed Forces initiatives. You will be the main contact for feedback and ensure patients' voices are heard in decision making and service design.

Working with the Group Head of Patient Experience, you will coordinate project support, organize awareness events, and develop communication materials while building strong relationships

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or with equivalent training/experience.
• Project management training completed.
• Experience delivering patient/public involvement initiatives.
• Ability to analyse data and identify trends for reporting.
• Experience producing information for varied audiences, including patients.
• Experience of working with carers and diverse stakeholders.
• Understanding NHS issues and governance.
• Experience using an integrated risk management system.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key contact for patients and carers sharing feedback and involvement.
• Champion patients and carers, ensuring their voice informs decisions and design.
• Collaborate with staff to identify learning and service improvements from feedback.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to drive change/actions from feedback.
• Create reports and draft recommendations and action plans for managers.
• Participate in audits and inspections, reassessing improvements.
• De-escalate distressed individuals and support patient welfare.
