Job summary

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting for an apprentice call handler to deliver a friendly, efficient and professional service. You will answer incoming calls, record patient data, and route messages to the appropriate service, while using information systems to log details.

Role includes a full induction and support to complete an apprenticeship qualification, with rosters across early, late and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Answer all telephone calls in a courteous, professional and non-judgemental manner.
• Record data accurately in templates or in the patients' computerised records.
• Take messages from callers and ensure delivery to the correct service.
• Advise or signpost Healthcare Professionals using the Organization's policies, Procedures and Directory of Services.
