Job summary

Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Booking Officer to provide efficient administrative and booking duties for Yeovil District Hospital and Musgrove Park Hospital, based at Wynford House Yeovil. The role supports reception for Outpatients and uses multiple hospital systems.

Responsibilities

• Deal with day to day correspondence, provide a booking service to patients and other parties in a friendly and professional manner.
• Receive telephone calls, accepting messages on behalf of team members and taking appropriate action where necessary.
• Liaise with appropriate personnel in the team to gather and co-ordinate patient information so this is accessible in a timely manner.
• Reception duties in Outpatients YDH.
• Process referrals and arrange appropriate outpatient appointments.
• Participate in team and Trust meetings as requested.
