Job summary

Optical Express is hiring a Patient Advisor in Oxford, with occasional travel to Maidenhead. The role offers full-time hours, weekend flexibility, and full training.

You will guide patients through eye-care journeys, perform diagnostic scans with training, and coordinate consultations and surgeries with clinicians. Key requirements include excellent written and verbal communication, strong organisational skills, and a customer-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Building a strong relationship with our patients.
• Performing diagnostic eye scans (full training will be provided).
• Confidently relaying patient information to the optometrist to ensure a smooth patient journey.
• Maintaining patient records with accurate and up-to-date information.
• Arranging finance options to suit each patient.
• Schedule patients’ consultations and surgeries with our optometrists and surgeons.
• This role involves travel to Maidenhead (travel compensated).

Location – Oxford (Occasionally covering Maidenhead when needed)

Hours – Full time (Must be flexible over weekends)

Salary – £26,500 per annum, & benefits, full training will be given

It’s our Patient Advisors role to make our patients feel comfortable and relaxed whilst providing a 5-star service. Our Patient Advisors should enjoy meeting new people and be able to demonstrate strong communication skills with both patients and ophthalmic professionals alike.

Your day to day responsibilities may vary however a typical day will involve the following duties:

• Building a strong relationship with our patients
