Job summary

The Belfry Hotel & Resort is seeking a Pastry Sous Chef to lead our desserts and pastries across luxury outlets and resort events. You will set up menus, train staff, and ensure high-quality pastry production using local ingredients.

Ideal candidates have Pastry Sous Chef or higher experience, strong communication and presentation skills, and a passion for fine food. Base salary is £38,557.83 per annum plus service charge, with opportunities for career progression.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Pastry Sous Chef or higher.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and preparation of pastry/menu items based on hotel occupancy.
• Cook and deliver desserts and pastries to high standards.
• Lead and train the pastry team, ensuring safety and hygiene compliance.
• Manage a section of the pastry kitchen during service and support teammates.
• Collaborate with kitchen managers to write menus and control portions.
• Deputise for Head Chef when required.
