The Westwood Academy in Coventry seeks a committed Pastoral Support Assistant to join our pastoral team on a term-time only basis. You will report to the Deputy and collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team, DSL and teaching staff to support student wellbeing, attendance and safeguarding.
The post focuses on supporting KS3 or KS4, providing first-line pastoral support and acting as a link between school, families and external agencies. Driving licence is preferred.
37 hours per week term time only
Grade 5 points 18 -23
£31,537 - £34,434 Pro rata per annum
Actual salary: £26,563 - £29,003 per annum

We are seeking to appoint a committed and resilient Pastoral Support Assistant to join our pastoral team. Reporting to the Deputy the postholder will work with the Senior Leadership Team, Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and closely with teaching staff. The postholder will play a key role in supporting the pastoral team in maintaining high standards of behaviour, attendance and safeguarding across the school.
The successful candidate will support the well-being, personal development and academic progress of students, with a particular focus on either Key Stage 3 or Key Stage 4. You will be an integral part of the pastoral team, providing first-line support to students and acting as a vital link between school, families and external agencies.
As travel within the local area is a requirement, ideally candidates should hold a current driving licence.
