An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and caring Pastoral Assistant to join our school.
The school as a whole is enthusiastically embracing the journey to excellence. The school joined Sapientia Education Trust in September 2024 when the school was renamed and a new Headteacher was appointed. Every decision we make is about the young people we serve, their learning experience and personal development, and we are very proud of the positive impact we are having on their futures.
The school is friendly, supportive and incredibly inclusive for students and staff. We are a small school and that means we are a real community. Everybody knows, and supports, everybody else, working collectively with the same goals and ambitions for our students.
The Pastoral Assistant will play a vital role in supporting our inclusion provision, helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve success both academically and personally. Working closely with pastoral leaders, teaching staff, families and external agencies, you will supervise students referred to our Internal Exclusion Room, provide pastoral support, promote positive behaviour and help maintain a calm and purposeful learning environment.
We are looking for a hard-working and enthusiastic individual with excellent communication and organisational skills. The successful candidate will be able to build positive relationships with young people, remain calm under pressure and demonstrate resilience, flexibility and a genuine commitment to supporting students.
Part of our ethos is the amazing array of opportunities we offer students, including enhancement activities, clubs, societies and specialist academies that help foster exceptionally strong relationships between staff and students.
The school and Trust provide a comprehensive induction programme, extensive professional development opportunities and a strong focus on staff wellbeing.
The position is 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time plus one week (39 weeks per year).
The school is located in an attractive market town on the Norfolk Broads, surrounded by countryside and close to Norfolk and Suffolk s beaches, with Norwich approximately 25 minutes away.
Join us in our mission to create a nurturing environment where all students feel valued, supported and inspired to reach their full potential.
