Poole High School is seeking an enthusiastic Pastoral Officer for a permanent, full-time role (37 hours/week, Monday to Friday, 8.00am–4.00pm). The post is term-time with Trust Training Days and INSET days.

The role focuses on pastoral welfare and safeguarding across year groups, induction of new arrivals, and supporting students and families to maximise learning. It requires commitment to safeguarding and child protection policies.

We are delighted to be recruiting for an enthusiastic Pastoral Officer to join our fantastic team at Poole High School. This is a Permanent contract working 37 hours per week, Monday -Friday 8.00am to 4.00pm with 35-minute unpaid lunch 4 days a week and a 40-minute unpaid lunch 1 day per week, School term-times, Trust Training Days and two INSET days per academic year

Grade 7 Support staff salary points 8-14. £27,709 to 30,515 (FTE) £23,489 to £25,868 (pro rata)

We are looking for an outstanding individual who will relish the opportunity to:

• Assist the Senior Leadership team at Poole High School in overseeing the pastoral welfare and safeguarding of students in each year group.
• Deal with pastoral and welfare issues and be responsible for the induction of new arrivals.
• Support and work with students and families to maximise learning for individual students.
• Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people in accordance with our Safeguarding and Child Protection policies
