Job summary

Poole High School, part of Twynham Learning, is recruiting a pastoral officer to support welfare and safeguarding across every year group. You will work with students and families to maximise learning and run induction for new arrivals.

This is a full-time post (37 hours per week) with DBS checks and UK work eligibility required. You will join a dedicated senior leadership team and help promote the welfare of children in line with school policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in safeguarding and student welfare in a school setting.
• Enhanced DBS check required.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Assist the senior leadership team in overseeing pastoral welfare and safeguarding of students in each year group.
• Deal with pastoral and welfare issues.
• Run the induction of new arrivals.
• Support and work with students and families to maximise learning.
• Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people in line with safeguarding policies.
