Job summary

Poole High School is seeking an enthusiastic Pastoral Officer for a permanent, full-time role (37 hours/week, Monday to Friday, 8.00am–4.00pm). The post is term-time with Trust Training Days and INSET days.

The role focuses on pastoral welfare and safeguarding across year groups, induction of new arrivals, and supporting students and families to maximise learning. It requires commitment to safeguarding and child protection policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Leadership team with pastoral welfare and safeguarding across year groups.
• Manage induction of new arrivals and support transitions.
• Support students and their families to maximise learning outcomes.
• Promote welfare and the wellbeing of children and young people in line with safeguarding policies.
