Job summary

Twynham Learning seeks a dedicated Pastoral Officer for Poole High School. This permanent, full-time role runs 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.00am–4.00pm, with 35-minute unpaid lunch four days and 40-minute lunch one day per week, aligned to school terms.

You will support the Senior Leadership team in safeguarding and pastoral welfare across year groups, assist with induction, work with students and families to maximise learning, and uphold safeguarding policies.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pastoral welfare and safeguarding in a school setting.
• Ability to induct new arrivals and support students' welfare.
• Strong communication with students, families and staff.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Assist SLT in overseeing pastoral welfare and safeguarding.
• Address pastoral and welfare issues; support induction of new arrivals.
• Collaborate with families to maximise learning outcomes.
• Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures.
