Teaching Personnel are seeking an experienced Pastoral Leader to join a local secondary school in Downton on a temporary basis. This role focuses on student wellbeing, personal development and academic progress within a supportive pastoral team.

Working with the Head of Year and wider pastoral colleagues, you will promote positive behaviour, attendance and inclusion, building strong relationships with students across the year group.

Teaching Personnel are looking for an experienced and dedicated Pastoral Leader to join a local secondary school in Downton on a temporary basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people’s wellbeing, personal development and academic progress. Working closely with the Head of Year and wider pastoral team, you will play a key role in creating a positive school culture where students feel safe, supported and able to thrive.

The Role

As a Pastoral Lead Officer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality pastoral care and supporting students across the year group. You will help promote positive behaviour, attendance, inclusion and personal development, while building strong and trusting relationships with students. The school have also mentioned that experience teaching Humanities would be a great addition. This would currently be a temporary role, going until October HT as a minimum, and likely up to Christmas (And potentially longer)

• A genuine commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.
• The confidence to work alongside teachers and wider school staff.
• A proactive approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
