Burton Borough School is seeking an inspiring, committed and highly motivated Pastoral & Behaviour Support Coordinator to join our pastoral team at an exciting time in our school’s journey.
Located in the market town of Newport, on the Shropshire/Staffordshire border, Burton Borough is a vibrant and inclusive school of approximately 1,200 students, with easy access to Shrewsbury, Stafford, Telford and Wolverhampton. We are proud to be part of the Learning Community Trust, having joined in April 2024, placing us within a forward-thinking, research-informed network where collaboration, professional development and continuous improvement are at the heart of what we do.
At Burton Borough, we are ambitious, proud and caring. We are ambitious for every student and every member of staff, proud of our inclusive culture and high standards, and caring in the way we support, nurture and challenge our young people. Our school sits at the heart of the Newport community, and we believe we have a privileged role in helping every young person to flourish.
As Pastoral & Behaviour Support Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in making this ambition a reality. Working under the guidance of the Assistant Principal for Student Culture and Behaviour, you will lead and champion your year group, building strong relationships with students and families and ensuring that every young person feels known, valued, supported and challenged to achieve their very best.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about young people and understands the difference that excellent pastoral care, high expectations and strong relationships can make. You will be a visible and positive presence within school, celebrating success, addressing barriers to learning and working collaboratively with colleagues, families and external agencies to ensure students flourish.
If you are an enthusiastic and compassionate pastoral professional who combines high expectations with genuine care, and you want to play a key role in helping our students flourish, we would love to see your application.
Burton Borough School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Successful applicants will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS clearance.
