Job summary

Novus Property Solutions seeks a Passive Fire Protection Installer to join the planned works team in Worcestershire, delivering fire door installation and remedial works in social housing tenanted properties. The role offers stability, a company fleet van, and a pension, with 39 hours weekly and a supportive planning team to optimise travel.

Responsibilities include installing fire doors, engaging with tenants, and working from tickets and handheld devices, with training and development

Qualifications

• Experience installing fire doors and remedial works in social housing.
• NVQ Level 2 or higher in Joinery/Carpentry/Passive Fire Protection is essential.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Satisfactory DBS check is required.

Responsibilities

• Install fire doors and carry out remedial works within social housing.
• Engage with tenants and work within a contract team.
• Work from job tickets and handheld devices daily.
• Manage workload and priorities effectively within the team.
• Be prepared to complete a practical skills assessment (fire door installation).

Standard Hours Monday- Friday 39 hours

This is an exciting opportunity for a Passive Fire Protection Installer to join Novus Property Solutions, planned works team providing high-quality Fire Door installation and remedial works within Social Housing tenanted properties

An outline of your responsibilities and experience

• Experience installing fire doors and carrying out associated remedial works within a social housing environment.
• Previous experience working in social housing and engaging directly with tenants would be advantageous.
• Ability to work from job tickets and handheld devices on a daily basis.
• Able to work effectively as part of a wider contract team whilst managing your own workload and priorities.
• Successful candidates may be required to complete a practical skills assessment, including the installation of a fire door.
• Committed to maintaining Novus' high standards of health, safety, and quality at all times.
• NVQ Level 2 or above in Joinery, Carpentry, or Passive Fire Protection is essential.
• Knowledge and qualifications in one or more of the following would be advantageous:
  • NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry, Joinery, or Passive Fire Protection
    
  • ASFP Passive Fire Protection Training
  • FIRAS Installer Assessment or BM TRADA Fire Door Installer Certification
  • IFE Level 2 or Level 3 Certificate in Passive Fire Protection
  • PASMA and IPAF certifications
• Working at Height, Asbestos Awareness, and Manual Handling training are required. Where certifications have expired, refresher training can be provided by Novus.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• This role is subject to a satisfactory DBS check
