Job summary

Barnsley Council is seeking a Passenger Assistant to join our Travel Assistance team in Barnsley. This role supports children and adults on journeys from home to school, with split shifts during term time.

Working 18 hours per week, Monday to Friday, during school terms, you will help create a safe, caring travel experience. We offer flexible working, a generous pension, and training opportunities to grow your career.

What We Offer
  • Working Hours: Approximately 18 hours per week, Monday to Friday, during school term time, on split shifts to cover the journeys from home to school, and from school to home. This is a term time only position, approximately 39 weeks of the year.
  • Location: Home to School Depot, John Street, Barnsley.
