Job summary

Barnsley Council is seeking a Customer Service Advisor to join our dynamic Contact Centre in the Town Centre, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, with some home working. The role offers a permanent contract, a salary of £27,274–£29,071, and a range of rewards including flexible working, discounts, health and wellbeing support, and opportunities for training and development.

About the Post:

We are currently seeking a Customer Service Advisor ( Monday -Friday between the hours of 9am and 5pm ) to join our dynamic Contact Centre. We want candidates who can make a positive difference to our customers' experience by showing empathy and offering help, guidance, and support to those who need it most. By working 37 hours per week in our fantastic Town Centre office, you'll become part of a collaborative team, with plenty of opportunities to learn from your peers throughout your time with us. You'll also enjoy the flexibility of home working, helping you achieve a healthy work-life balance.

As a member of our Customer Experience Team, you'll receive guidance and support to meet agreed quality and performance targets, as well as exceed customer expectations. We are dedicated to your ongoing professional development, offering regular one-to-one feedback, training, call coaching, and mentoring.
