Job summary

SMT GB in Duxford, Cambridgeshire, is seeking a Stores Person to join our warehouse team. You will ensure parts are received, stored and dispatched accurately while maintaining stock records and delivering excellent customer service to internal departments and external customers.

As a dependable and organised team member, you will handle deliveries, book stock into the system, pick, pack and dispatch parts, and perform regular stock checks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a warehouse, logistics or service-based environment.
• Strong numerical and data accuracy skills.
• Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team and build positive working relationships.
• Understanding of health and safety requirements within a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect deliveries.
• Book stock into the system.
• Store items correctly and ensure easy location.
• Pick, pack and dispatch parts for internal departments and external customers.
• Support stock control activities, including regular stock checks and reconciliations.
• Maintain an accurate inventory and a safe, clean, organised warehouse environment.
