Job summary

SMT GB is seeking a Stores Person to be based at our Duxford depot on a 6‑month fixed-term basis. You will support day-to-day warehouse operations, receipting, storage, and dispatch of parts, ensuring stock integrity and helping internal teams and customers.

Key duties include receiving stock from suppliers, picking, packing and dispatching, maintaining stock records, and keeping items correctly stored and labeled. A focus on accuracy, teamwork and safety is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics or service-based role.
• Strong numerical and data accuracy skills when handling parts and stock locations.
• Good communication skills with a strong customer service focus.
• A team player with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships.
• Understanding of health and safety within a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect and book in stock from suppliers, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Pick, pack and dispatch parts for internal departments and external customers.
• Maintain accurate stock records, including regular stock checks and reconciliations.
• Ensure all items are stored correctly, labelled appropriately and easy to locate.
• Support general warehouse duties, including housekeeping and adherence to health and safety.
