Job summary

SMT GB, a leading distribution company for machinery and trucks, is seeking a Stores Person at our Duxford depot to ensure parts are received, stored and dispatched accurately while maintaining stock control. You will work closely with internal departments, suppliers and customers to ensure the right parts are available at the right time to support our service operation in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Strong numerical and data accuracy skills.
• Good communication with a customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow procedures.
• Understanding of health and safety requirements in a warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect deliveries and book stock into the system.
• Store items correctly and ensure they are easy to locate.
• Pick, pack and dispatch parts for internal departments and external customers.
• Support stock control activities including regular stock checks and reconciliations.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organised warehouse environment.
