Job summary

SMT GB in Duxford, Cambridgeshire, is seeking a Stores Person to join its warehouse team. The role involves receiving, storing and dispatching parts, ensuring stock accuracy and timely availability to support service operations.

You will work closely with internal departments, suppliers and customers, uphold health and safety standards, and contribute to a fast-paced, accurate and reliable operation.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a warehouse, logistics or service-based environment.
• Strong numerical and data accuracy skills.
• Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team and build positive working relationships.
• Understanding of health and safety requirements within a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and inspecting deliveries, booking stock into the system, and ensuring items are stored correctly and can be easily located.
• Pick, pack and dispatch parts for internal departments and external customers, ensuring service and customer requirements are met on time.
• Support stock control activities, including regular stock checks and reconciliations, maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised warehouse environment, following company procedures and health and safety standards.
