Job summary

SMT GB is seeking a Stores Person for our Duxford depot to ensure efficient warehouse operations, accurate stock control, and timely order dispatch. You will receive, inspect, store and dispatch parts while maintaining inventory records and a safe working environment.

Ideal candidates have warehouse or logistics experience, strong numerical/data accuracy, good communication, and teamwork. Desirable driving licence and forklift qualifications are noted. Working hours are standard for the depot.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a warehouse, logistics or service-based environment.
• Strong numerical and data accuracy skills.
• Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team and build positive working relationships.
• An understanding of health and safety requirements within a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect deliveries and book stock into the system.
• Ensure items are stored correctly and can be located easily.
• Pick, pack and dispatch parts for internal and external customers.
• Support stock control with regular stock checks and reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and contribute to a safe warehouse environment.
