Job summary

Air Conditioning Ltd in Reading is seeking a full-time purchaser/inventory administrator to ensure engineers have the tools, parts and equipment they need when and where they are required. The role includes sourcing and ordering parts, PPE and tools, receiving and storing items, and allocating them to jobs.

You will spend time in the office processing invoices and updating records and in the stores maintaining stock control. Some Health and Safety checks and DBS checks are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing or inventory administration in supplier-based industry.
• Computer literacy with MS Office and database systems.
• Must have a current, valid UK driving licence.
• Comfortable with manual handling.
• Experience in electrical, plumber wholesaler, builder’s merchants or similar is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Ensure engineers have the tools, parts and equipment they need at the right time and place.
• Source and order parts, PPE and tools; ensure delivery to branch or site.
• Receive, store, and allocate items to correct jobs; maintain tidy stores.
• Handle invoices, warranties and records; perform some office administration.
