Job summary

Pertemps are recruiting for a Parts Assistant to join a busy team in Birmingham. You will help ensure engineers and customers receive the correct parts quickly by processing orders, sourcing components and managing stock levels.

Ideal candidates will have experience in parts, stores or inventory, strong admin skills and excellent attention to detail. A proactive, team-oriented approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in parts, stores, inventory or stock control positions.
• Strong administrative and organisational skills.
• Confident using computer systems and Microsoft Office packages.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Processing parts orders from engineers, customers and internal departments.
• Identifying and sourcing parts using internal systems and supplier catalogues.
• Managing stock levels and raising purchase orders when required.
• Receiving deliveries and checking goods against purchase orders.
• Picking, packing and dispatching parts accurately.
• Maintaining accurate stock records and updating internal systems.
• Liaising with suppliers to obtain pricing, availability and delivery information.
• Supporting the Service team to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Assisting with stock counts and general stores administration.
• Ensuring the parts department remains organised, safe and efficient.
