Job summary

Howards Group in Bath is seeking a Parts Specialist to join our Aftersales team. You will sell parts and accessories to internal and external customers, with a focus on delivering outstanding service and upselling where appropriate.

You will work Monday to Friday, with no weekend duties. The role requires a motivated, detail-oriented person who can manage stock, keep product knowledge up to date, and support customers throughout the sales cycle.

Qualifications

• 12 months automotive parts or aftersales experience required.
• Full driving licence.
• Computer literate, ideally with knowledge of an automotive DMS.
• Excellent customer-facing skills.
• Able to work across various sites and independently.
• Passion for the industry.

Responsibilities

• Sell parts and accessories to internal and external customers.
• Upsell where appropriate.
• Proactively conduct telephone and online activity to generate new prospects and manage customers in the sales cycle.
• Ensure customer expectations are identified and fully managed throughout the sales process.
• Keep knowledge of the brands' products and services up to date for optimal service.
• Record stock movements and assist with stock checks.

You will be working from Monday to Friday only. Aftersales at the Howards Group do not work at the weekend! You must be a motivated individual with excellent attention to detail to progress in the Parts arena.

You will be responsible for selling parts and accessories both to internal and external customers.

Your Job at Howards

To sell your target of parts and accessories to internal and external customers. Upselling where appropriate. Proactively conduct telephone and online activity to generate new prospects and manage customers in the sales cycle. Ensure customer expectations and requirements are identified and fully managed throughout the sales process and beyond, updating and communicating with customers. To continually update and maintain knowledge of the brands' products and services to ensure customers receive the very best service. To use computer systems to find parts, availability, and correct prices. To record stock movements and assist with stock control/checks. To assist with marketing and promotion of the Parts Department.

• A minimum of 12 months automotive parts or aftersales experience
• Full driving licence
• Computer literate, ideally with knowledge of an automotive DMS

• Competent in negotiating and closing sales while maintaining an excellent customer experience
• Well-presented — able to engage and build positive relationships with existing and potential customers

• Previous experience in the motor trade or a similar role (preferable)
