Job summary

Bennie Equipment’s West Division is recruiting a Parts Controller to assist the Service and Sales teams by sourcing and managing forklift parts for a fast-paced operation in Northamptonshire.

The role requires organised, proactive individuals familiar with parts sourcing, stock control and ERP systems, with a track record in a parts environment. A full UK driving licence may be required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in forklift, plant, automotive, agricultural or industrial parts is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a service/parts team.
• Good negotiation and supplier-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the ordering, receiving and distribution of forklift spare parts.
• Identify and source parts for different forklift makes and models.
• Process parts enquiries from customers, service engineers and internal teams.
• Prepare quotations and process sales orders and purchase orders.
• Maintain accurate stock records and carry out regular stock checks.
• Monitor stock levels and place replenishment orders when required.
• Liaise with manufacturers, suppliers and parts distributors regarding availability, pricing and delivery times.
• Arrange urgent parts deliveries to engineers and customers.
• Track backorders and keep customers and engineers updated.
• Manage returns, warranty parts and incorrect/damaged deliveries.
• Update parts and stock information on Protean, the company’s computer system.
• Help maintain an organised and efficient parts warehouse.
• Work closely with the service and workshop teams to minimise forklift downtime.
• Ensure invoices, delivery notes and purchase documentation are accurate.
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve parts-related queries.

Working Hours:

42.5 hr per week Monday to Friday 8;00am –17:00pm hours per week. 30 minutes lunch. You are also so required to work such additional hours as may be necessary for the proper performance of your duties or that may be required to fulfil role.

Job Role/Description

Bennie Equipment’s West Division is recruiting for an experienced, passionate, and well organised Parts Controller to assist the Service Controller as part of a team, in sourcing and managing required parts for Bennie in Material handling equipment. The ideal candidate will have worked previously in a similar role with proven organisational skills in a fast-paced environment, to support the Service and Sales teams in meeting customer expectations and requirements.

• Strong organisation and attention to detail.
• Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office and stock/ERP systems.
• Strong communicationand customer-service skills.
• Good knowledge of spare parts and part-number identification.
• Full UK driving licence may be required depending on the role.
