Job summary

Bennie Equipment’s West Division within Bennie Group is seeking an experienced Parts Controller to support the Service Controller in sourcing and managing forklift parts for the UK market.

The role requires strong organisational skills, the ability to work under pressure, and good IT knowledge of stock/ERP systems. You will collaborate with service and sales teams to meet customer expectations and ensure timely parts delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience with forklift/industrial parts is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a service/parts team.
• Good negotiation and supplier-management skills.
• Strong organisation and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate ordering, receiving and distribution of forklift spare parts.
• Identify and source parts for different makes/models.
• Process parts enquiries from customers, engineers and internal teams.
• Prepare quotations and process sales orders and purchase orders.
• Maintain accurate stock records and carry out stock checks.
• Monitor stock levels and place replenishment orders as required.
• Liaise with manufacturers, suppliers and distributors regarding availability, pricing and delivery times.
• Arrange urgent parts deliveries to engineers and customers.
• Track backorders and keep customers and engineers updated.
• Manage returns, warranty parts and incorrect/damaged deliveries.
• Update parts and stock information on Protean, the company’s computer system.
• Help maintain an organised and efficient parts warehouse.
• Work closely with service and workshop teams to minimise forklift downtime.
• Ensure invoices, delivery notes and purchase documentation are accurate.
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve parts-related queries.

Working Hours:

42.5 hr per week Monday to Friday 8;00am –17:00pm hours per week . 30 minutes lunch. You are also so required to work such additional hours as may be necessary for the proper performance of your duties or that may be required to fulfil role.

Job Role/Description

Bennie Equipment ’s West Division is recruiting for an experienced, passionate, and well organised Parts Controller to assist the Service Controller as part of a team, in sourc ing and manag ing required parts for Bennie in Material handling equipment. The ideal candidate will have worked previously in a similar role with proven organisational skills in a fast-paced environment , to support the Service and S ales teams in meeting customer expectations and requirements.

• Previousexperience in forklift, plant, automotive,agriculturalor industrial parts isadvantageous.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a service/parts team.
• Good negotiation and supplier-management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritise urgent requirements.
• Strong organisation and attention to detail.
• Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office and stock/ERP systems.
• Strong communicationand customer-service skills.
• Good knowledge of spare parts and part-number identification.
• Full UK driving licence may be required depending on the role.
