Job summary

Platinum Motor Group in Frome is seeking a Parts Advisor to join our busy Parts Department on a maternity-cover basis. You will help identify parts, support technicians and ensure efficient stock management, with potential for future opportunities.

The role requires good IT skills, attention to detail and a customer-focused approach, with a preference for automotive experience. Part-time hours will be considered for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a parts department or automotive environment is preferred.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and dealership systems
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and a professional telephone manner
• A proactive, positive and customer-focused approach
• The ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
• Experience: Parts / Aftersales: 1 year (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate stock control of parts and supplies
• Assist customers in identifying and ordering the correct parts for their vehicles
• Deliver outstanding customer service both in person and over the phone
• Process parts orders, deliveries and returns efficiently
• Work closely with technicians to ensure parts are supplied promptly
• Manage and process parts warranty claims
• Keep the Parts Department clean, organised and well presented

Parts Advisor - Frome - Maternity Cover - Temporary Contract

Platinum Motor Group has an exciting opportunity for a Parts Advisor to join our busy and friendly Parts Department at our Platinum KGM, Omoda & Jaecoo dealership in Frome.

This is a maternity cover position, making it an excellent opportunity to join a growing and supportive automotive Group. While this role is initially offered on a temporary basis, many of our maternity cover positions have led to permanent opportunities, either within the same Dealership or at one of our other local Platinum Motor Group sites. Although a permanent role cannot be guaranteed, we are committed to developing talented people and always look to retain great team members whenever opportunities arise.

About the Role:

You'll play a key role in ensuring our workshop and customers receive the right parts quickly and efficiently. From managing stock to supporting technicians and assisting customers, you'll help keep our dealership operating smoothly every day. This is a temporary contract initially for 6–9 months, with the potential to extend to 12 months or longer, depending on business needs.
