Job summary

Flourish Education is seeking a Year 3 teacher for a part-time, three-day-a-week role in Bromsgrove. The position starts in January and runs for two terms, with flexibility around which days are worked. You will join a supportive team and share the class with a partner to ensure consistent teaching and routines.

The successful candidate will plan and deliver across the primary curriculum, with a focus on phonics, early reading and writing. A DBS check and two excellent references are required.

Qualifications

• QTS holder with primary teaching experience.
• Experience in Key Stage 1 or Lower Key Stage 2 is advantageous.
• Strong phonics and early reading knowledge.
• Ability to plan, prepare and deliver differentiated lessons.

Responsibilities

• Teach a Year 3 class as part of a job share.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the primary curriculum.
• Collaborate with job-share partner to ensure consistency.
• Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
• Differentiate lessons to meet all pupils’ needs and abilities.
• Support pupils working below age-related expectations to develop knowledge and confidence.
• Use phonics strategies to support decoding, blending and word recognition.
• Support handwriting, spelling, grammar and vocabulary development in writing.
• Provide constructive feedback to help pupils understand strengths and development areas.
• Maintain high expectations for achievement, behaviour and engagement.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively and promote positive attitudes to learning.
• Establish positive relationships with pupils and school community.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and contribute to school team.
