Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Wellbeing and Activities Assistant for Virginia Water Care Home in Surrey. The role focuses on supporting residents through a range of activities, with a shift from 1 pm to 4 pm, promoting physical, cognitive and social well-being.

You will work with the Wellbeing Coordinator to deliver engaging activities, maintain safety, report changes, manage supplies, and foster community links.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Understanding of how interactions impact wellbeing.
• Positive attitude toward older people and commitment to stimulating activities.

Responsibilities

• Support the Wellbeing Coordinator in delivering activities that engage residents physically, cognitively and socially.
• Maintain a safe living and working environment and uphold the home’s professional image.
• Report changes in residents’ condition to the Wellbeing Coordinator, Home Manager and care staff.
• Assist with ordering and preparing supplies for upcoming activities.
• Build links with local community groups to encourage access to the wider community and promote intergenerational activity.
