Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Wellbeing and Activities Assistant for Rosebery Manor Care Home in Epsom, Surrey. You will help plan and run activities to support residents' physical, cognitive, and social well-being and work with a caring team to create a welcoming environment.

The role involves assisting with activity coordination, ensuring safety, and engaging with local community groups to enrich residents' lives.

Qualifications

• Have effective communication skills, verbal and written.
• Demonstrate understanding of how interaction contributes to well-being.
• Have a positive attitude toward older people and a commitment to providing stimulating activities.
• Have previously worked with older people in a residential nursing Dementia setting.

Responsibilities

• Support the Wellbeing Coordinator in providing activities to engage residents' physical, cognitive, and social well-being.
• Maintaining a safe living and working environment, contributing to a positive and professional image of the home.
• Reporting changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to the Wellbeing and Activity Coordinator, Home Manager, and care staff.
• Support ordering and preparing supplies for upcoming activities.
• Help establish links with the local community to promote intergenerational activity.
