Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group seeks a warm, enthusiastic Wellbeing and Activities Assistant to join Elton House Care Home in Watford. You will support the Wellbeing Coordinator in delivering a wide range of activities to engage residents physically, cognitively, and socially.

You will maintain a safe environment, report changes in residents' condition, help organise supplies, and build community links to promote intergenerational activities, living our values of care, respect, and compassion.

Qualifications

• Effective communication skills, verbal and written.
• Understanding of how interaction affects wellbeing.
• Positive attitude toward older people.
• Experience with older people in dementia care settings.

Responsibilities

• Support Wellbeing Coordinator in delivering activities.
• Maintain a safe living and working environment and uphold professional image of the home.
• Report changes in residents' physical or emotional condition to the team.
• Assist with ordering and preparing supplies for activities and help build community links.
