Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group’s Lavender Lodge Care Home in Hampshire is seeking a Wellbeing and Activities Assistant on a bank basis to support the Wellbeing Coordinator in delivering a range of engaging activities for residents.

You will help maintain a safe environment, report changes to the care team, assist with supplies for activities, and build links with local community groups to promote intergenerational engagement.

Qualifications

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of how interaction impacts residents' wellbeing.
• Positive attitude toward older people and commitment to meaningful activities.
• Experience working with residents in a dementia care setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe living and working environment and uphold the home’s professional image.
• Report changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to the Wellbeing and Activity Coordinator, Home Manager and care staff.
• Assist with ordering and preparing supplies for upcoming activities as directed.
• Establish links with local community groups to promote access to services and intergenerational activity.
