Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Wellbeing and Activities Assistant for a care home in Wandsworth Common, London. You will support the Wellbeing Coordinator by delivering engaging activities and helping maintain a safe, caring environment for residents.

You will work as part of a close-knit team, with a focus on intergenerational activities and community links, while adhering to values of care, respect, and accountability. DBS check and eligibility to work in the UK are required.

Qualificações

• Have effective communication skills, verbal and written.
• Demonstrate understanding of the role interaction in residents’ wellbeing.
• Have a positive attitude toward older people and a commitment to providing stimulating activities.
• Have previously worked with older people in a residential nursing dementia setting.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain a safe living and working environment, contributing to the positive and professional image of the home.
• Report changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to the Wellbeing and Activity Coordinator, Home Manager, and care staff.
• Support with ordering and preparing supplies for upcoming activities as directed.
• Help establish links with the local community (schools, spiritual groups, museums/libraries) to promote intergenerational activity.
