Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Wellbeing and Activities Assistant for Virginia Water Care Home in Surrey. You will support the Wellbeing Coordinator to provide a range of activities enhancing residents’ physical, cognitive, and social well-being, and help maintain a safe, engaging environment.

Key duties include assisting with supplies, reporting changes in residents' condition, and building links with the local community to promote intergenerational activity.

Qualifications

• Effective communication in verbal and written form.
• Good understanding of how interaction affects residents' well-being.
• Prior experience with older adults in care settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe living and working environment and contribute to a positive image of the home.
• Report changes in residents' physical or emotional condition to the Wellbeing Coordinator and care staff.
• Assist with ordering and preparing supplies for activities as directed.
• Build links with the local community to promote intergenerational activities.
